LANCASTER, Pa. – After two stellar offensive performances, women's soccer first-year forward
Kaleigh Evans was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference Wednesday morning.
Evans helped lead the Bears to a perfect 2-0 start to the season totaling seven points behind three goals and an assist. On Friday, she tallied a pair of goals in her collegiate debut leading Ursinus to a 4-0 victory over Delaware Valley University. She followed up by adding a goal and an assist during the Bears' 5-0 victory over Penn State Berks on Sunday.
The Flourtown, Pennsylvania native currently leads the conference in goals (3) and points (7) so far this season. She is the first women's soccer athlete to earn the accolade since
Maddie Nau '24 recorded the honor on October 3rd last season. Evans becomes the Bears' first rookie to earn a weekly accolade from the conference since Kelly Gardus in 2018.
The Bears return to action this afternoon as they travel to St. Davids, Pennsylvania for a non-conference matchup against Eastern University at 3:30 p.m.
