LANCASTER, Pa. – Behind topping two school record marks, Senior
Rainah Dunham was named the Centennial Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday morning.
Dunham broke two of her own school records and posted two of the top marks in Centennial Conference history in the long jump and triple jump at Widener's Winter Evening Invite on Friday. Dunham started the night by cruising to a win in the long jump by recording a mark of 5.83 meters, which ranks third all-time in CC history and third in Division III this winter. Dunham followed that with a 12.50 meter mark in the triple jump, which is second all-time in conference history and second on the Division III performance list. It was Dunham's first jumps action since winning the Division III Outdoor National Championship in the long jump back in May and easily hit NCAA Indoor Championship qualifying marks with her totals.
This is the fourth time in her career that Dunham has earned a weekly accolade from the Centennial Conference and the first weekly award for the Ursinus Women's Track & Field team of this indoor season.
Ursinus returns to action on Friday, January 31st at the Rutgers Scarlet Knight Open held at New York City's Armory.
