BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior
Mia Sideris recorded a top-10 finish to lead the Ursinus College women's cross country team at the historic Paul Short Run on Friday afternoon.
The Bears went up against a combination of strong Division II and III teams in the Green 8K Race. Ursinus totaled 540 points as a team that placed them 23rd in the 34-team field. Clarion won the race as a team with 133 points.
Sideris once again led the seven Bear runners in the race with a time of 22:40.1 to finish seventh overall among 286 runners in the race. She ranked third among Division III runners with a pair of Franklin & Marshall runners ahead of her in second and fourth, respectively. Sophomore
Aubrey Myers followed as the second-highest finishing Bears runner in 115
th overall with her time of 25:49.6, while classmate
Elizabeth Dill crossed the line on a time of 26:07.0. First-year
Cadence Shaw was fourth among the Ursinus runners with her time of 26:11.8 and junior
Kira Wise finished with her time of 27:22.8. Seniors
Corrine Martello and
Brooke Richards finished the race with times of 27:33.7 and 28:17.4, respectively.
Ursinus returns to action on Saturday, October 18th at the Inter-Regional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan University at 11:00 a.m.
