ABOUT THE EAST REGION: The regional meet consists of all seven schools in the region; SUNY Brockport, SUNY Cortland, Ithaca College, Rhode Island College, Springfield College, Ursinus, and Utica College. The top two scoring teams at the regional meet along with two at-large teams by SAS between the two regions will qualify. The Bears enter the meet ranked fifth among the teams in the region with a SAS of 187.7563, however with a true average of 188.289. Ursinus is the only NCGA team with an average higher than their SAS.

The SAS is determined by the average of four scores based on the following criteria:

1.            SEASONAL AVERAGE SCORE (SAS):
a. Determined by the average of four scores based on the following criteria:
i.              Scores from meets held with more than half the teams being NCAA or NAIA collegiate varsity teams.
ii.             Only Regular Season Meets, Regional or Conference Meets can count toward SAS. Unattached Teams will stop counting scores on the date of the latest NCGA Regional meet.
iii.            At least three scores must be hosted by a Division III institution (home or away).
1.            One of these Division III meets must be Away.
2.            You are allowed to have Division I, II or NAIA teams at the meet, but there must be at least one Division III team participating beyond the Division III host.

(*Regional scores will count towards SAS and go into effect Saturday night before determining any At Large qualification)

Ursinus Rotation Order:

Rotation 1: Bars

Rotation 2: Bye

Rotation 3: Beam

Rotation 4: Bye

Rotation 5: Floor

Rotation 5: Vault

Rotation 6: Bye

The seeding of the rotations is determined so that the top-four teams ranked in the region finish the meet competing instead of being on a bye.

Vault: Ursinus ranks fifth into regionals for the vault with a SAS of 47.3813. The Bears posted a season-best score of 48.150 on the vault two weeks ago in their most recent meet at home against West Chester, Bridgeport, and William & Mary. Sophomore Erin Roe seeks a return to the NCGA National Championship and has once again spearheaded the Bears on the event by leading the team with the highest individual score in every single meet this season. Roe ranks fifth in the NCGA East Region for the vault with a SAS of 9.6813 and is tied with the second highest individual score of the season of 9.775 back at Springfield on February 2nd. Junior Sidney Schreiber is second on the Bears with a SAS of 9.4375, who tied Roe for the Bears individual high score on the vault in their home quad meet.

Uneven Bars: The Bears are sixth in the region on uneven bars with their SAS of 45.2000. Ursinus posted a season-high score of 47.150 at George Washington on February 16th.  Roe leads the Bears in SAS on the bars with a 9.4688 and has a season high score of 9.650. Junior Kylie Ruggiero will aim for a second straight NCGA National Championship appearance following her heroic performance at last year's regionals that saw her set the school record on the bars. Ruggiero has worked through a shoulder injury this season and holds the Bears top individual score for the event of 9.675 that was set at West Chester on February 8th and will have a SAS following the regional meet.

Beam: Ursinus is also sixth in the East Region for SAS in the beam at a 47.2813 and had their best showing as a team on the event at their home quad meet with a season high team score of 48.350 that was -.225 off the school record. Roe holds the highest SAS on the team at 9.5500 behind posting at least a 9.7 seven three times on the event. Senior Madison Zimmerman dominated the month of February on the beam by posting at least a 9.725 in every single meet and recorded a career best score of 9.825 at West Chester on February 8th which is also the highest score by any Bear on the beam this season and tied for the second highest individual score in the east region. Zimmerman ranks second on the team with a SAS of 9.5063 and her high individual total is tied for the second highest among gymnasts in the East Region. Sophomore Arianna Ellis ranks third on the team with a SAS of 9.3188 followed by Schreiber with a SAS of 9.3000. Senior Erin Stubbs has come on strong of late for Ursinus on the beam and set a new career high score of 9.725 at the Bears home quad meet two weeks ago.

Floor: The Bears hold a SAS of 48.125 on the floor this season which ranks fifth in the East Region. Ursinus has showcased depth on the floor this season and had their team high score of 48.225 at Springfield on February 2nd that was -.375 off the school record. Senior Megan Matteucci has dazzled on the floor this season and is tied for fifth in the region with a 9.7875 SAS. Matteucci recorded three straight 9.8's to open the season which is the highest floor score for Ursinus in the 2025 season. Schreiber is second on the team in SAS with a 9.6625 and sophomore Lucy Warburton holds a SAS of 9.6000 in a strong campaign. Ellis holds a SAS of 9.5813 and turned in a strong February on the floor with a pair of 9.725 scores. Senior Isabella Scarpetti is the fifth Bear with a SAS over 9.5000 at a 9.5313.

All-Around: Roe will take aim at the All-Around title and enters the Regional meet ranked fourth in SAS for the region at a 37.9813. In her first full season competing all-around, Roe has been named the NCGA East All-Around Gymnast of the Week twice and has nearly taken down the Bears program record on multiple occasions. Roe's highest All-Around total of 38.575 done at West Chester is tied for the third highest single meet total in the region for 2025.

UP NEXT: If the Bears finish with a top-two score tomorrow at Brockport or earn one of the two at-large berths, they will advance as a team to the NCGA Championships on March 22nd at Gustavus Adolphus. Ursinus will also await any individual qualifiers for the meet if the team does not earn a berth.
