Baseball's Sullivan Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – After a standout performance this week, Ursinus College Baseball sophomore Brandon Sullivan has been named the Centennial Conference Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.

Sullivan helped lead the Bears to a 3-1 week, hitting .538 (7-of-13) and reaching base safely in 14 of his 20 plate appearances from the leadoff spot. The sophomore left fielder drew seven walks, and stole three bases while scoring twice and knocking in two RBIs as the Bears split with Swarthmore and swept McDaniel on the road. Sullivan collected at least two hits in three of the contests, and currently holds a 30-game on base streak dating back to last season.

The Middletown, Delaware native has started 26 games this season and leads the team in batting average (.410), while leading the Centennial Conference in walks (35), stolen bases (29), and on-base percentage (.585). Sullivan's season also ranks at the top of Division III as he ranks second in walks, and third in stolen bases.

This is the first time that Sullivan has earned a weekly accolade from the conference, and he is the first Bear to earn the Centennial's weekly award since Casey Murphy and senior Kieran Hollander earned the honors in April of 2022.

The Bears return to action on Wednesday, April 9th as they host Franklin & Marshall College with first pitched scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
