BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Senior
Mia Sideris helped open the 2025 Ursinus Women's Cross Country season with a bang by winning the Bryn Mawr Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Bears finished second as a team in the six team field with 67 points that was just behind Swarthmore at 25 points.
Sideris crossed the line in first after crossing the line at a personal 5K best 19:44.10. She led a group of 15 Bears runners that turned in a strong start to the season. This is the first time Sideris has won an individual race title for Ursinus.
A pair of first-years in their collegiate debuts followed behind Sideris as
Cadence Shaw finished 17th overall and second on the team with a time of 22:18.30 while
Emi Loverdi was 19th on her time of 22:33.30.
Sophomore
Elizabeth Dill crossed the line in 20th overall with a time of 22:34.80 and fourth on the team and first-year
Melody McDonough was next with a time of 22:50.30 in 22nd. Junior
Kira Wise posted a time of 23:09.10 in 24th, sophomore
Julianna Mullen posted a new personal best 5K time of 23:14.20 to place 27th, and sophomore
Lindsay Solomon was right behind in 28th overall on a time of 23:14.60.
Sophomore
Aubrey Myers posted a personal best time of 23:54.80, senior
Corrine Martello recorded a time of 23:58.40, senior
Veronica Filippone finished with a 24:00.30, and first-year
Addison Hessler crossed the line at 24:12.0. First-year
Nyanah Campbell (24:39.50), sophomore
Nicole Parisi (24:51.80 - PB), and senior
Brooke Richards (25:17.30) rounded out the Bears runners.
Ursinus returns to action next Saturday, September 6th as they will compete in the LVC Dutchmen Invitational at 11:00 a.m.
