LEBANON, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Cross Country team earned a top-five finish as a team at the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational on a humid Saturday morning at Union Canal Tunnel Park.
The Bears finished fifth among the 15 schools that qualified for team scoring with 169 points. The field featured schools from all three NCAA Divisions led by Navy in first place with 24 points.
First-year
Elias Knoll continued his strong start to his collegiate career by leading the Bears with a 27th place overall finish after posting a time of 27:38.9 on the 8k course. His classmate
Ryan Ickes was second for Ursinus and 31st overall with a time of 27:51.9 and senior
Liam Johnston crossed the line with a time of 28:28.9 for 43rd overall and third on the team. First-year
Evan O'Connor finished with a time of 28:50.9 to place 49th overall and fourth on the team while senior
Justice Scheidel rounded out the Bears top-five with a 29:29.5 to place 65th overall.
Junior
Dom Nunez finished with a time of 29:51.8 in 81st overall and sophomore
Aidan Furtek was right behind in 82nd with his time of 29:52.1. Junior
Nav Manick posted a time of 29:59.9 and senior
Ryan Martin recorded a time of 30:06.6.
Sophomore
Conor Flaherty (32:44.9), first-year
Ramon Martinez (33:26.7), senior
Alek Kusmirek (33:28.7), and junior
Logan Downs (36:49.6) finished the Bears times.
Ursinus has a week off before returning to action on Saturday, September 20th as they will compete in the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational starting at 12:00 p.m.
