PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Led by five top-three finishes, the Ursinus women's track and field team wrapped up its weekend at the Widener-Schuylkill Showdown on Sunday.
Senior
Kaelin Ryan earned a runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.01 and later added a third-place finish in the 200 meters at 25.61. First-year
Laela Middleton finished 18th in the 200 meters at 27.19.
First-year
Sophia Pascale shined in the 400 meters, taking second place with a time of 57.81, which ranks 22nd in Division III this season. Middleton (59.43) and senior
Jaycie Miller (1:01.18) rounded out the Bears' lineup, finishing ninth and 13th, respectively. Pascale also placed 10th overall in the 60-meter dash and fifth among Division III runners with a time of 7.98.
The Bears carried the momentum into the 800 meters, earning a pair of top-five finishes. Senior
Mia Sideris led the pack in third at 2:27.90, while first-year
Alissa Joseph placed fifth at 2:28.91. Senior
Corrine Martello (2:35.89) and sophomore
Elizabeth Dill (2:36.15) finished 17th and 18th, respectively. Sideris followed with a personal-best 5:16.01 in the mile, placing third overall, while
Emi Loverdi took 16th at 5:41.49.
Ursinus closed out the meet with a sixth-place finish in the 4x400 relay. The team of Miller, Ryan, Pascale, and Joseph combined for a time of 4:07.20.
The Bears will return to action Saturday, February 7th, when they host the Frank Colden Invitational.
