CHESTER, Pa. - The Ursinus women's track and field team put together a stellar showing on the road, competing in the Widener Indoor Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Junior
Hannah Quinn got things started for the Bears on Friday night, finishing 27th in the weight throw with a distance of 12.69 meters.

Senior
Kaelin Ryan got things started for Ursinus on Saturday, breaking a pair of her own school records. First, she finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.85, which ranks 16th in all of Division III and topped her previous record of 8.87. She followed up with a sixth-place finish in the 200 meters, earning a personal best and school record time of 25.45 seconds.

Sophomore
Nadly Gyapong followed with a ninth-place finish in the 60-meter dash, coming in with a season-best time of 7.90.

First-year
Sophia Pascale delivered another strong performance for Ursinus, finishing sixth in the 400 meters (58.32). Fellow first-year
Emi Loverdi then finished 39th in the mile, with a personal-best time of 5:35.76.

The Bears turned in a strong performance in the 4x400 meter race, as a team of first-year
Laela Middleton, first-year
Alissa Joseph, first-year
Allison Severino, and sophomore
Aubrey Myers finished ninth (4:08.24).

Ursinus also competed hard in the field events. Sophomore
Mia Bompensa finished 18th in the pole vault, soaring to a height of 3.20 meters. Fellow sophomore
Emily Barlam then helped Ursinus earn another top-5 finish, jumping to a distance of 5.24m in the long jump.

Junior
Sam Wechsler reached a height of 10.84m in the triple jump, finishing the Bears' day strong to finish ninth overall. Â

The Bears will return to action on February 20th, as they head to Haverford College for the Keogh Invitational.
