COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Ursinus women's track and field team turned in a strong performance at home, as they hosted the Frank Colden Invitational.

Senior
Kaelin Ryan earned the Bears' lone win of the meet in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.93. Ryan set a personal best in prelims of the event with a time of 8.87, good for 15th in all of Division 3 and breaking the Ursinus Indoor school record of 9.00 previously held by Victoria Goodenough in 2012. Â The senior also placed second in the 400 meters, with a time of 1:00.42. First-year Alyssa Joseph finished 8th, with a time of 1:05.17.

Sophomore
Nicole Parisi finished 18th in the 3000 meters (13:02.91), before senior
Brooke Richards came in 18th in the mile (6:12.61). First-Year
Laela Middleton then took fourth in the 60 meters, with a time of 8.02.

First-Year Allie Severino placed 11th in the 800 meters (2:34.97), while senior
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman achieved a season-best in the 200 meters (27.73). Sophomores Julianna Sherman (21:20.15) and
Lindsay Solomon (22:04.44), along with first-year
Cadence Shaw (22:15.22) finished the running portion strong for the Bears, placing 4th, 6th, and 7th in the 5000 meters, respectively.

Ursinus also turned in a strong performance in the field events. Senior
Amanda Traska got things started, with an eighth-place finish in the high jump (1.45m). Sophomore
Mia Bompensa and Bauroth-Sherman then finished 2nd and 3rd in the Pole Vault, reaching heights of 3.20m and 3.05m.

Sam Leo came in 8th in the long jump, reaching a height of 4.74m. Junior
Hannah Quinn then paced the Bears in weight throw, finishing 10th with a season-best distance of 10.71m.

Juniors
Randi Wood (9.28m) and
Talia Jones (9.20m) led Ursinus in the shot put, placing 26th and 27th respectively. First-Year
Isabel Dela Torre (10.04m) and senior
Rhiannon Okuniewski (9.74m) helped the Bears finish the meet on a high note, placing 5th and 8th in the Triple Jump.

Ursinus will return to action on Friday, February 13th, as they travel to Chester, Pennsylvania for the Widener Indoor Classic.
