Women's T&F Places Second at Indoor Champs; Ryan Named MOTP

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field completed a historic program performance at the 2026 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday at Franklin & Marshall.

The Bears posted a program record score of 108.50 points and finished second overall as a team which was the highest finish for a Centennial Indoor Championship meet in program history. Ursinus wrapped up the weekend with three more gold medals, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Senior Kaelin Ryan put a bow on one of the most decorated Centennial Indoor Championship weekends done by an Ursinus Women's Track & Field Athlete by taking gold in both the 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash. Ryan topped her day-old Centennial meet and school record in the 60 hurdles by .001 with her time of 8.80 before winning the 200-meter dash on a time of 25.71. She was the first Bear to claim the 60-meter hurdle gold since Amanda Laurito went back-to-back in 2012 and 2013 and the first for the 200 meters since Erin Farrell in 2016. She was also a member of the silver medalist 4x400 relay team with first-year Sophia Pascale, first-year Laela Middleton, and senior Jaycie Miller that set the school record with a time of 4:00.13. With her outstanding Sunday coupled with Centennial Conference record performance in the 4x200 relay on Saturday, Ryan became the first Bear since Christa Johnson in 2009 to be named the Most Outstanding Women's Track performer at the Indoor Championships. This came off the heels sharing the Most Outstanding Women's Track performer at the Outdoor Championships in May of last season.

More history was made when Pascale took down both the meet and school record in the 400-meter dash with her time of 57.97. Pascale became the first Bear in program history to claim gold in the 400 meter dash for the Indoor Championships.

Sophomore Nadly Gyapong joined Ryan on the podium in the 200 meters by taking bronze on a season best time of 25.84. Sophomore Emily Barlam won the Bears other bronze medal on Sunday by earning it in the long jump with her mark of 5.19 meters. Gyapong also finished fourth in the 60-meter dash on a season best time of 7.84 and Pascale was eighth at 8.11. Senior Juniper Bauroth-Sherman finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles on her time of 9.81 while Middleton placed sixth in the 400 meters on a time of 59.69.

Senior Mia Sideris finished fourth in the mile on a personal best time of 5:14.67 and 12th in the 3,000 meters on her time of 10:33.84. Junior Madison Lippay finished sixth in the high jump with a season best mark of 1.49 meters while sophomore Sam Leo and first-year Arnie Etienne placed ninth and 10th in the long jump on marks of 4.70 and 4.67 meters, respectively.

Ursinus will return to action on Friday, March 6th as they will compete at the two-day AARTFC Championship hosted at the New York Armory starting at 11:00 a.m.
