FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Ursinus men's golf team wrapped up its regular-season finale, finishing third at the Moselem Cup, hosted by Moselem Springs Golf Club, on Monday afternoon.
Eight Bears competed at Moselem Springs Golf Club, a par-70 course that stretches 6,824 yards. The Bears posted a two-round total of 642, shooting a 320 on Sunday and a 322 in Monday's second round. Juniata College won the team title with a 617 (+57), while Susquehanna University (635) finished second and Ursinus placed third (642). DeSales University (654) took fourth, and Washington College (657) rounded out the top five in the seven-team field.
First-year
JP Hoban paced the Bears lineup, carding a two-round total of 155 to finish tied for third. He opened with a 76 on Sunday before posting a 79 (+9) in Monday's round, highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 fifth hole. Hoban recorded a 38 on the front nine with four pars before closing with a 41, tallying five pars over the final nine holes.
Sophomore
Aidan Bonczek finished 13th with a 160 after rounds of 82 and 78. Bonczek posted a 38 (+3) on the front nine before signing for a 40 (+5) on the back nine. His round was highlighted by consecutive birdies on the par-4 ninth and 10th holes.
First-year
Lucas Milliken placed 16th, totaling a two-round score of 163 with rounds of 81 and 82. Milliken recorded four pars on the front nine en route to a 42 (+7) before finishing with five pars and a 42 (+5) on the back nine.
Senior
Jimmy Cage shot an 84 on Sunday and an 83 in the second round to finish with a 167 and tie for 23rd. His round was highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 third hole, and he recorded six pars. First-year
Jason Walsh finished tied for 26th with a 168 after rounds of 81 and 87.
Junior
Trevor Maden and senior
Slade Figard led the group of individual competitors for the Bears, finishing 33rd and 34th, respectively. Maden shot an 89 in Monday's round and recorded seven pars over a nine-hole stretch, while Figard posted an 86 with six pars on the day.
The Bears return to action Friday, April 24th, at the Centennial Conference Championships at Waynesboro Country Club.
