HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team competed in some midweek action on Tuesday at the Haverford Tri-Meet. The meet featured the Bears and nine other Philadelphia area schools.
Senior
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman finished runner-up in a pair of events as she posted a time of 16.89 in the 100-meter hurdles. She followed by finishing second in the pole vault at 3.30 meters.
Sophomore
Mia Bompensa placed third in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.00 meters and senior
Lucy Cornett was fourth at 2.40 meters. Sophomore
Addison Rogers was fourth in the hammer throw at 30.75 meters and junior
Talia Jones led a trio of Bears in the javelin at 24.11 meters. Junior
Randi Wood was fifth in the javelin at 23.56 meters and sophomore
Sam Leo was sixth at 19.92 meters. Sophomore
Kamarah Jones finished seventh in the shot put at 7.18 meters.
Sophomore
Elizabeth Dill paced four runners in the 800 meters in sixth at 2:31.72 and senior
Corrine Martello was seventh at 2:35.11. Senior
Veronica Filippone finished ninth at 2:40.41 and first-year
Nyanah Campbell was 11th at 2:43.90. Junior
Kira Wise finished 11th in the 200 meters after crossing the line at 29.08.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 24th as they will see select athletes compete in the 130th annual Penn Relays at Franklin Field and at the Rick McCorkle Invitational at TCNJ.
