Curtis, DeSiato Earn IWLCA All-Region Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – A pair of Ursinus Women's Lacrosse student-athletes earned IWLCA All-Metro Region honors, announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
 
 

Senior defender Sophia Curtis was named to the First Team while junior Dana DeSiato earned second team honors at attack. Both earn All-Region honors for the first time in their respective careers.
 
 

Curtis added to her growing list of postseason accolades two days after being named an All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine. She put together one of the best seasons by a defender in the program's history in 2026. She recorded a career best 41 caused turnovers that tied for second most all-time in a single season in program history and led the Centennial Conference in the regular season. She posted a Centennial best 2.41 caused turnovers per game and ranked second on the team and is ninth in the Centennial with 40 ground balls. Curtis garnered All-Centennial Conference First Team honors for the first time in her career and posted at least three caused turnovers in eight games this season.
 
 

DeSiato was the catalyst to the Bears offense as she paced the team with 69 points behind a team-leading 54 assists while adding 15 goals. She led the Centennial Conference in assists and assists per game at 3.18 and ranked 13th in NCAA Division III in total assists. DeSiato earned All-Centennial Second Team honors and recorded at least four points in nine of the Bears games this season. She eclipsed the career century mark in two stats this season by recording both her 100th career point and assist.
