All-Region Teams
ABCA All-Region Team
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus Baseball Recent graduate
Dan Bass and first-year
Jamie O'Neill garnered D3baseball.com. All-Region V honors announced by the website on Tuesday morning.
Bass garnered second team honors in pitching and O'Neill was named honorable mention at utility. The duo become the third and fourth players in program history to be named to the team, respectively, and the first since Solomon Griffith. Bass also added a Third Team All-Region nod from the America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) which was also the first time an Ursinus baseball player made the team since Griffith and former pitcher Casey Murphy in 2022. The 2026 season marks the 14th season that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors from which three teams in each region were determined.
Bass finished his career in Collegeville with his best season as he pioneered the Bears pitching staff with dominance and longevity which helped them return to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time since 2017. He earned All-Centennial First Team honors on the mound after leading the Centennial with 75 innings pitched and tied for the second-lowest ERA in the league at 3.72. He ranked second with 62 strikeouts in the Centennial Conference and led the league with three complete games with his third coming in his final collegiate start in a win over Washington College in the Centennial Conference Tournament. Bass tied for third in the Centennial and led the Bears with six wins.
O'Neill jumped right into the fold and did a little of both for the Bears in his collegiate debut season. He batted .259 with 15 hits while tallying seven RBI's and six doubles. O'Neill scored 10 runs and stole a pair of bases. On the mound, O'Neill was pivotal for Ursinus as he tallied a pair of wins and tied for the Centennial Conference lead with three saves. He struck out 32 batters in 39.1 innings of work and made five starts.
