GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team finished the 2026 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in strong fashion by winning five golds on the final day at Gettysburg on Sunday afternoon.
The Bears rose from seventh to second in the standings behind a tremendous day that saw them win four individual golds and one relay gold. Ursinus finished with 112 points which was the most since getting 122 in 2021 and matched their program best finish of second in 2011.
The catalyst of the big final day was none other than senior
Kaelin Ryan who added to one of the best individual seasons in Ursinus Women's Track & Field history by completing her sweep of the Centennial Championship Most Outstanding Women's Track Performer. Ryan now has three to her name after claiming a co-performer at the 2025 Outdoor Championships and both indoor plus outdoor this season. Ryan claimed four medals on the day with two golds and two silvers. She teamed up with first-years
Laela Middleton and
Sophia Pascale plus sophomore
Nadly Gyapong to win the first gold of the day in the 4x100 relay on a time of 47.51. The four, who recently broke their own school record at the Penn Relays, claimed gold for the Bears in the event for the first time since 2021. Ryan followed that by defending her 100-meter hurdle gold from last season by winning the race at 14.50. She earned her silver in the 200 meters with her time of 25.18 by coming second to her teammate Gyapong, who earned her first career individual gold medal on a time of 25.09. Ryan earned her final medal in the 4x400 relay with Gyapong and Pascale plus senior
Jaycie Miller who blitzed the two-week old school record by five seconds with a time of 3:51.83 to gain silver.
Pascale completed her 400-meter sweep in the Centennial Championship events for 2026 by topping her own school record of 56.06 which also leaves her in position to potentially earn a berth to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She became the first Bears women's track & field athlete to claim outdoor gold in the 400 meters since Kirsten King in 2011.
The fourth individual gold came from junior
Sam Wechsler as she defended her triple jump title from a season ago with her jump of 11.00 meters. Classmate
Emily Barlam finished fourth in the triple jump at 10.53 meters while first-years
Arnie Etienne and
Isabel Dela Torre were 13th and 14th on jumps of 9.74 and 9.41 meters, respectively. Senior
