DALLAS, Pa. – Ursinus took two doubles matches and three singles matches as the Bears (1-0) defeated Misericordia 5-4 on Thursday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis play.

In doubles, the team of Heather McMasters and Jimena Talavera defeated Ashley Mangabang and Courtney Otto, 8-3 at number two flight. At number three flight, Jackie Heikel and Dana McDonough defeated Cassie Foy and Lauren Verret, 8-6.

In singles play, Jessica Tyrrell defeated Otto at number four flight, 6-0, 6-1, followed by a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 win at number five flight by Deb Choi over Foy.

At number six flight, Caroline Lippe defeated Ellyn Wingert, 6-4, 6-3.
