Baseball falls to TCNJ, 8-0

EWING, N.J. – The Ursinus College baseball team was blanked by The College of New Jersey on Thursday afternoon, falling by an 8-0 score. This marked the first game for the Bears since they returned to Florida.

For Ursinus, senior third baseman Rob Vogt (Basking Ridge, N.J./Hill School) had two hits, while junior second baseman Lou Argentine and junior designated hitter Joel Ackerman (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) each had doubles.

Sophomore pitcher Steve Christakos (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) fell to 1-2 on the year, as he pitched two innings and allowed just one earned run while scattering four hits. He struck out one and walked two.

Ursinus will travel to PSU-Abington on Saturday for a doubleheader.
