Box Score 2 COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus picked up a pair of wins on Saturday in women's tennis action, downing Immaculata and York (Pa.) by 8-1 scores to move to 2-0.
In the first match, senior Heather McMasters (Wyoming, Del./Caesar Rodney) defeated Lauren Degnan at number one flight, 4-6, 6-1 and 13-11, while sophomore BreAnna Bashaw (Vernon, Vt./Northfield) defeated Nicole Burley at number two flight, 6-0, 6-0.
Sophomore Stephanie-Jane Seabra (York, Pa./York Suburban) defeated Julie Einwechter at number three flight, 6-1, 5-7, 10-6, while junior Christina Cromwell (Midlothian, Va./James River) defeated Amber Kambouroglos at number four flight, 8-5.
Freshman Alayne McLaughlin-Nelson (Rockville, Md./Ridley College) and freshman Robin Alsher (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) picked up wins at number five and six flight respectively.
In doubles, McMasters and Cromwell won at number one flight, while Seabra and Bashaw won at number two flight.
Against York, McMasters, Bashaw, Seabra, Cromwell and McLaughlin-Nelson won in singles play, while McCasters/Cromwell; Seabra/Bashaw and McLaughlin-Nelson and freshman Christina Palazzolo (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) won in doubles action.
