DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A game-high 21 points from Kevin Agnew helped Lebanon Valley (8-4) hold off Ursinus (3-8) 65-58 on Tuesday night at the 2014 Land of Magic Classic hosted by Embry-Riddle University.

Ursinus got 17 points from junior guard Malik Draper, with 13 points coming freshman forward Joseph LoStracco and 12 points off the bench from sophomore forward Steve Leonard.

The Flying Dutchmen got 14 points from Kyler Burke and 12 from Andy Orr in the win.

Trailing by five with 1:31 left in the game (57-52), Ursinus rallied to within one at 57-56 with back-to-back baskets by LoStracco. Lebanon Valley, however, closed the game by hitting eight straight foul shots including a 6-for-6 performance from Agnew. LVC finished the game by hitting 14-of-15 foul shots in the contest.

Despite the loss, Ursinus committed just 13 turnovers.

Ursinus led early, with a jumper by Draper with 17:15 left in the opening half giving the Bears a 5-3 lead. The Flying Dutchmen would then go on a 18-7 run over the next 5:15 to take a 23-12 lead on a three-pointer by Travis Conrad.

The Bears could then outscore the Flying Dutchmen 15-2, to get within two at 27-25 on a foul shot by Leonard with 2:35 left.

Ursinus had a 33-32 edge in rebounding, with Draper picking up seven and freshman guard Matthew Alden grabbing six, along with freshman forward Remi Janicot.

Draper also had six assists for Ursinus, who opens 2015 with a game against Gettysburg on Wednesday, January 7.
