Women's Tennis Shuts Out McDaniel

Box Score

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Ursinus College women's tennis team conceded absolutely nothing in Saturday's match at McDaniel, dropping not so much as a single game in grabbing its first Centennial Conference victory in singularly dominant fashion.

The Green Terror forfeited two singles courts and one doubles court, but the six that were contested were completely one-sided. Both doubles matches finished 8-0, and each of the four singles tilts ended in 6-0, 6-0 score lines.

Junior Caitlyn Sorelle and freshman Brenna Trkula won at number one doubles, with the rookie duo of Cara Freedman and Maddie Russell taking number two doubles.

Sorelle (first), Russell (second), Trkula (third), and freshman Jessica Leach (fourth) all posted 6-0, 6-0 clean sheets on the singles courts.

The Bears return home to take on Haverford in CC action on Tuesday.
