Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's soccer team was unable to create a second half comeback falling to Dickinson College, 2-0 on Saturday evening from Patterson Field.
With the loss, Ursinus moves to 5-7-3 on the season and 1-5-2 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Red Devils improved to 8-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play. The Bears celebrated eight seniors on the afternoon as,

Dickinson jumped on the board first during the 3
rd minute, as Lila Brown sent a long curling cross into the box finding teammate Ava Prisco on the back post for a 1-0 lead. Ursinus earned a corner-kick opportunity on the ensuing possession but was turned away by the Red Devils defense. During the 15

Madison Bjorndahl had their shots saved by the Dickinson goalkeeper. Dickinson nearly responded with a goal during the 26
th minute, as Prisco created space within the box but her right footed shot missed high of the net. Moments later, the Bears defense stood tall and blocked a Dickinson shot to keep the deficit at one. With under three minutes remaining in the half, the Red Devils were awarded a corner kick opportunity, but a header from sophomore
Paige Flaugh deflected the ball out of the offensive zone. The Bears nearly responded with a scoring chance of their own on the opposite end, but a great defensive tackle from a Dickinson defender kept the deficit at one at halftime.
Dickinson added an early goal to open the second half, capitalizing on a failed Ursinus clear attempt as Prisco recorded her second goal of the game to make the score 2-0. At the 58:57-mark, the Bears nearly connected on a scoring attempt as senior
Liv Morrow shot from outside the box, but her chance was saved by Dickinson's defense. Junior midfielder
Grace Senese's shot just missed wide of the net during the 65
th minute on a free kick opportunity from just outside the box. During the final ten minutes, Dickinson's offense started to create more offensive chances, firing multiple shots on goal but each were denied by the Bears defense resulting in the 2-0 defeat.
Dickinson held a 19-4 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in shots on goal. Dickinson's netminder Elizabeth Allen earned the victory behind four saves, while Nau suffered the loss recording two saves in 90 minutes of action.
The Bears will return to action on Wednesday, October 25
th as they travel to Allentown for a Centennial Conference matchup against Muhlenberg College.
