COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Two Ursinus women's soccer student-athletes were recognized on the All-Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Team, announced by the conference on Thursday morning.
Sophomore
Mallory Toomey was named to the second team, while classmate
Taylor Pezulich earned honorable mention honors.
Toomey started 16 games in goal for the Bears, ranking third in the conference with 83 saves and tying for third with six shutouts this season. She recorded five games with eight or more saves, including a career-high 13 in the Bears' 2-2 draw against Gettysburg. Toomey also ranked third in the conference with an .847 save percentage. She tallied nine saves in the team's win over Mount Saint Vincent and helped lead the Bears' defense to eight shutouts this season.
Pezulich started 13 games for the Bears and led the team in goals (6), assists (5) and points (17). She opened the season with a goal and an assist in the Bears' 3-2 win over Penn State Berks, then added an assist in the team's shutout victory over Delaware Valley. The Fords, New Jersey, native set a career high with five points on two goals and an assist in the team's 4-0 win over Immaculata and matched that effort with another five-point outing against Bryn Mawr. Pezulich led the Centennial Conference in points per game (1.31), while her 17 points ranked eighth overall.
Senior forward Adriana Carless represented Ursinus on the All-Sportsmanship Team. This season, Carless ranked third on the team with nine points on four goals and one assist. She concludes her career with 11 goals and nine assists over 68 games played.
