ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Ursinus College women's wrestling team won five bouts, but were edged on Sunday afternoon by Elmira College, 26-23.
With the loss, Ursinus now sits at 2-2 overall while the Eagles improved to 5-5 on the season. "We couldn't be prouder of how the women competed today," Director of Wrestling
Joe Jamison said. "Elmira is a tough team and we fought for every point. Unfortunately, we had to forfeit three weight classes today, but winning five of the seven matches against a top-20 team is huge for the program. Once everyone is healthy and at the right weights next semester, we are going to make a lot of noise. We have a well-earned break coming up and then we'll get ready for the Citrus Invitational in Florida."
