EWING, N.J. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team wrapped up its weekend at the two-day TCNJ Lions Invitational on Saturday.
Junior
Tucker McGrath took home the 800 meter title on Saturday by running a season-best time of 1:57.03. Sophomore
Christian Rosado completed a 1-2 Ursinus finish in the event after crossing the line at 1:57.21 while freshman
Liam Johnston posted a time of 1:58.78 and finished seventh overall.
In sprints, sophomore
Mason Jolivette set a personal best time in the 200 meter dash with a 23.01 and junior
Devon Greaves finished third overall in the 400 meter hurdles behind his career best time of 55.99. Sophomore
Brett Mathis posted a career best time coming in the 400 meters with his time of 52.47.
Senior
Isaiah Battle led five Bears in the discus throw with a mark of 44.10 meters that earned him a seventh place finish in the field. Sophomore
Chase Shaneman followed with a throw of 38.55 meters in 14th overall while sophomore
Tom Wood posted a 36.32 meter throw. Wood led the Bears in the shot put with a sixth place overall finish after recording a throw of 14.14 meters and Battle rounded out the overall top-10 on his throw of 13.66 meters.
The Bears return to action on Friday, May 5th as they will look to defend their Centennial Conference Championship at the 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Patterson Field that will start at 1:30 p.m.
