To be named all-region, an athlete must finish either in the top eight of an individual event or be part of a top-eight relay team.
Davis makes it 4-for-4 now in his career for All-Region honors and to qualify for an NCAA Championship meet after qualifying in both the Indoor and Outdoor meets last season as well. Davis valiantly battled to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the pole vault and took his performance to the next level in the Outdoor season by delivering the best pole vault mark in Division III this season of 5.28 meters at Widener back in Mid-April. Davis claimed the AARTFC Pole Vault title last Wednesday afternoon and seeks his fourth All-American honor this Saturday.
Bowers earned his second All-Region nod in the pole vault this season after earning his first career one back during the Indoor Season. He recorded the third best pole vault mark this season on a career best clear at 4.50 meters back at Widener in mid-April. He earned his first career silver medal in the event at the Centennial Outdoor Championships.
Kensil also earned his second All-Region nod this season after claiming his first career honor in the shot put during the indoor season. He ranked third in the region behind his career best mark of 15.07 meters last week at the AARTFC Championships. Kensil earned his first career silver medal at the Centennial Outdoor Championships.
Sanders repeated his Hammer Throw All-Region selection by posting the top mark in the event for the Outdoor Season. He broke the Ursinus school record with his throw of 55.92 meters at the Widener Last Chance Meet and earned All-Region honors for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. He earned the silver medal at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships.
Tapler had a fast rise in the long jump after making his debut in the event on April 24th at TCNJ. In less than a month, Tapler claimed gold at the Centennial Conference Championships in the event and broke the Ursinus school record. His mark of 7.05 meters was the sixth-longest in the Metro Region and it was set last week at the AARTFC Championships.
Tobin completed a decorated Ursinus career with a strong outdoor season that saw him reset his own school record in the 200 meters on a time of 21.26 at the Widener Last Chance Meet. He closed his career on top by winning the 200 meters last week at the AARTFC Championships in a photo finish. Tobin won a pair of silver medals, including one in the 200, at the Centennial Championships.
The 4x100 team of Tapler, Tobin, Long-Stratton, and Zigbuo recorded a school record time of 41.26 back in early April at the Ursinus Springfest. It was the fourth fastest time for the event in the Metro Region this Spring.
