CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team continued their last chance meets at Widener on Monday and set two school records in the process.
Senior
Aiden Tobin topped his two-year old school record in the 200 meters with his time of 21.26 and finished fourth overall in a loaded field. His time bested his old mark of 21.37 set in 2024 that was also ran on Widener's track and is the 21st fastest time in Division III for the event. Sophomore
Noah Sanders took down the Bears Hammer Throw record with his mark of 55.92 meters to finish sixth overall. His mark bested the old record of 55.67 meters set by Isaiah Battle in 2023.
Junior
Carter Kensil placed fourth in the shot put at 14.59 meters and classmate
Jaxon Geddio placed 13th in the high jump at 1.85 meters.
Junior
James Long-Stratton finished 12th in the 200 meters at 21.85 and sophomore
Kyren Young recorded a time of 23.05. Sophomore
Andy Zigbuo led a trio of Bears in the 100-meter prelims by placing 13th at 11.33 while senior
Eddie Weick was 14th at 11.50 and first-year
Aidan Heppard was 16th at 11.54. Senior
Patrick Ryan finished 17th in the 110-meter hurdles on a time of 15.90. Junior
Dylan Baer finished 16th in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.55, sophomore
Kyle Cummings was 17th at 56.99, and Ryan was 18th at 57.87.
First-year
Ramon Martinez led five Bears in the 800 meters with his time of 1:55.22. Senior
Liam Johnston posted a time of 1:56.03, junior
Troy Hedrick finished at 1:56.49, senior
Ryan Martin tallied a time of 2:02.52, and first-year
Elias Knoll crossed the line at 2:03.64.
Ursinus returns to action on Wednesday, May 13th as they will open at the two-day AARTFC Championship Meet hosted by the Bears at Patterson Field started at 12:00 p.m.
