COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Indoor Track & Field team returned to action on Saturday in the first time in over a month at the annual Collegeville Classic on Saturday afternoon at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center.
The Bears finished third in the overall team standings with 65 points and was first among the attending Division III schools. Division II Felician finished first with 131 team points.
The Bears had a pair of athletes win their events on Saturday. Senior
Rainah Dunham won the long jump with a personal best mark of 5.61 meters to continue her strong indoor season. Two Bears finished top five in the event as first-year Samantha Wechsler finished fourth with a jump of 5.20 meters. Senior
Brooke Adams won the mile with a personal best time of 5:22.77

Jacqueline Allen had a solid day to pace the throws as she finished second in the weight throw on a mark of 13.67 meters and third in the shot put on her throw of 11.92 meters. Sophomore
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman finished third in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.05 meters.
In sprints, Wechsler finished fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with her time of 9.90 while sophomore
Tashyah Sample finished fourth in the 4000 meters with a time of 1:03.21.
Sophomores
Lily Nagy and
Rhiannon Okuniewski earned top-10 finishes in the triple jump of seventh and ninth on marks of 9.80 and 9.39 meters, respectively.
The 4x400 relay team of sophomores Sample,
Sierra Hufnagle,
Kaelin Ryan, and
Veronica Filippone finished seventh overall with a time of 4:44.72 and was third among Division III schools.
Ursinus returns to action on Friday, January 26th as they will open up at the two-day Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University.
