FAIRFAX, Va. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team competed against schools from all three NCAA Divisions this weekend at the two-day Patriot Games hosted by George Mason.
Senior
Rainah Dunham highlighted the meet by winning the triple jump on a mark of 11.64 meters. Dunham still holds the second best triple jump mark in the Centennial Conference this season. First-year
Sam Wechsler impressed in the triple jump by finishing third after clearing the bar at a season best 10.76 meters.
Senior
Brooke Adams had a strong showing in the 800 meters as she finished third overall and second among Division III runners in the race with a time of 2:18.48. Junior
Ryann Wauthier and senior
Samantha Grubb competed in the 5,000 meters and Wauthier led the duo in 13th overall with a time of 19:04.43. Grubb followed in 14th with a time of 19:14.28.
Wechsler earned a spot in the 60 meter hurdle finals behind a season best time of 9.63 and followed with an eighth place finish in the finals on a time of 9.82.
In throws, senior
Jacqueline Allen led the Bears in the weight throw with a mark of 13.17 meters to finish 13th overall and second among D3 throwers. First-year
Hannah Quinn recorded a season best throw of 11.24 meters and finished 20th overall while being ninth among D3 athletes. Allen also led the pair in the shot put with a throw of 11.03 meters that placed her 11th overall while Quinn tallied a mark of 9.13 meters.
Ursinus returns to action on Saturday February 3rd as they will host the annual Frank Colden Invitational, their last home indoor meet of the season, starting at 8:45 a.m.
