BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Ursinus College women's cross country team returned to action by competing in a strong field at the historic Paul Short Run on Saturday.

The Bears went up against 12 nationally-ranked teams and 21 regionally ranked Division III teams in the White 6K Race. The team finished 43rd overall in the 46-team field and their total of 1,238 points placed them just behind Oneonta in the College White Race while Amherst won the team title with 135 points. The race featured nine of the 10 ranked schools in the Metro region.

Mia Sideris the eight Bear runners in the race with a 90th place finish with a career best time of 22:47.8. Senior
Ryann Wauthier was the second Bear to cross the finish line in 297th overall with her time of 25:02.8 and first-year
Mary Acar finished third among Ursinus runners with a time of 25:50.7. Junior
Kirra Norling finished with a career best time of 26:00.5 and first-year
Elizabeth Dill was the fifth Ursinus runner to cross the line at 27:10.1 which was also a career best. Â

Aubrey Myers recorded a time of 27:49.1 that topped her previous best by nearly two seconds and classmate
Lindsay Solomon recorded a time of 28:08.7 that also bested her previous top mark. Junior Corinne Martello rounded out the Bears runners with a time of 28:42.0.

Ursinus will return to action on Saturday, October 19th at the Inter-Regional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan University in their final tune-up for the Centennial Conference championship meet.
