McDaniel responded with a touchdown drive of their own only to have the extra point blocked. The Bears closed the game out with 42 unanswered points and forced four turnovers.

REPEAT PERFORMANCE: Senior running back Tony Holden had another big day for the Bears has he recorded 145 yards on 20 carries and one touchdown against Johns Hopkins. Holden kickstarted the scoring with a 46-yard touchdown run on the Bears opening drive and earned the Kenneth E. Walker Trophy for the second straight season, given to the most outstanding Ursinus performer on Homecoming Saturday. Holden has rushed for at least 100 yards on the ground in all but one game this season and is approaching 1,000 yards for the season with a Centennial Conference leading 937 yards.

TRICK OR TREAT: Senior defensive end Connor Carter maintained his status as one of the most feared pass rushers in the Centennial Conference this past Saturday against Johns Hopkins. Carter led the Bears with 10 tackles (five solo) while forcing and recovering a fumble in the second quarter off a sack. Carter added 2.0 TFL which brings him to 9.0 tackles for loss in his last three contests. He leads the conference with nine sacks and is now up to 14.0 TFL on the season which is two behind teammate Aaron Rios who leads the Centennial Conference with 16.0 tackles for loss.

GETTING OFF THE FIELD: The Bears pace all of NCAA Division III by allowing its opponents to convert just 23.4 percent on third downs this season. Ursinus is nearly eight percentage points clear of second place Franklin & Marshall and limited the Blue Jays to go just 4-of-14 on third down conversions last week. Overall, for the season, the Bears opponents are just a staggering low 22-of-94 on third downs.

NOVEMBER SKY: Ursinus has won six straight contests in the month of November over the past two seasons. The Bears have capped both of those successful Novembers off with wins in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series. Ursinus will have three Centennial Conference games this month due to the later start of the season with two of those games coming on the road. Postseason play starts for NCAA Division III on November 23rd as will the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series contests.

DEJA VU: Senior defensive back Pat McManus blocked a Johns Hopkins extra point this past Saturday. It was the second straight homecoming contest that McManus blocked an extra point after getting one on McDaniel's lone touchdown in the 2023 game. It was the Bears first blocked extra point since that game. McManus also made five tackles (three solo) against Johns Hopkins.

MAINTAINING THE LEAD: Senior linebacker Marc Clayton continues to hold the lead in the Centennial Conference lead in total tackles. Clayton posted eight stops (four solo) on Saturday against Johns Hopkins while adding a 0.5 tackles for loss. He is now up to a career-high 64 tackles (33 solo) and has recorded at least seven tackles in every game this season. Clayton has double-digit tackle performances in four of those games.

SCOUTING THE GREEN TERROR: The Green Terror dropped a 24-0 contest to Franklin & Marshall last Saturday and were shut out for the second straight week. McDaniel limited the Diplomats to just three points in the second half, but the damage had already been done as F&M went up 21-0 in the first half. The Green Terror have multiple quarterbacks who have started games this season, most recently being sophomore Angel Granado Jr. He also leads the team with 139 rushing yards and has passed for 408 yards with two touchdown passes. Junior Grayson Wendel paces the receivers with 305 yards on 26 catches and senior Kyle Silver plus graduate student Wesley Nchinda each have two touchdown receptions.
