LEXINGTON, Va. – Senior
Rainah Dunham set two Ursinus Women's Track & Field Indoor School records as the team competed at the two-day VMI Winter Classic this weekend against teams from all three NCAA divisions.
Dunham opened the weekend on Friday by blitzing the Ursinus school record with her mark of 5.68 meters. She topped the previous record of 5.09 set by Krista Snyder in 2016 and is currently owns the best long jump in the metro region, second in the Centennial, and is tied for seventh in all of Division III. Dunham was not finished as she reset her two-month old triple jump record with her mark of 12.04 meters that was the best among Division III competitors and fourth overall. Dunham also leads the Metro Region and sits second in the Centennial for the triple jump only to Victoria Kadiri of Johns Hopkins, who currently holds the top triple jump mark in all of Division III.
A pair of Bears earned top-five finishes in the high jump as sophomore
Amanda Traska finished third with a personal best mark of 1.52 meters and first-year
Madison Lippay placed fifth after clearing the bar at 1.42 meters. First-year Samantha Wechsler posted a pair of personal bests by finishing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.22 and seventh in the triple jump on her mark of 10.86 meters. Sophomore
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman finished fifth in the pole vault behind clearing the bar at 3.00 meters.
Senior
Brooke Adams led all Division III runners and finished second overall in the 800 meters with her time of 2:17.65. Sophomore
Mia Sideris finished sixth in the mile at a time of 5:32.16 while senior
Samantha Grubb also finished sixth in the 3,0000 meters after crossing the line at 10:59.38. Junior
Ryann Wauthier placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with her season best time of 18:44.38 and junior
Candace Hudson finished eighth with her time of 20:54.98.

Ursinus returns to action on Saturday, February 17th as they will compete in the Keogh Invitational at Haverford College at 10:00 a.m. The throws will take place at the Ursinus Floy Lewis Bakes Center on Friday, February 16th at 4:00 p.m.
