GLASSBORO, N.J. – Four Ursinus Track & Field throwers opened the 2024 outdoor season for the team at Rowan's Oscar Moore Invitational on a rainy Saturday.
With most of the team not traveling due to the torrential morning and early afternoon rains, juniors
Chase Shaneman and
Tom Wood, senior
Parker Howell, and first-year
Randi Wood all competed in the discus throw.
Shaneman led the men's trio with a third place finish behind a throw of 38.01 meters and was second among Division III throwers.
Tom Wood followed in fifth with a mark of 31.18 meters and Howell placed seventh with his throw of 31.10 meters.
Randi Wood represented the women's team and won the discus with her throw of 31.18 meters.
The Bears return to action on Friday, March 29th as they will open competition at the two-day Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University.
