CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team took down three outdoor school records on the second day of the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener on Saturday.
Sophomore
Aiden Tobin had a role in all three school records as he rewrote two individual marks and one relay. Tobin crossed the line at 10.78 to edge the previous school record of 10.81 held by Brandon Evans in 2007. He bested another school record previously held by Evans in the 200 meters by blitzing the previous mark of 21.81 with his time of 21.37. Tobin's 200 time was a mere .01 off the Centennial Conference record of 21.36 held by Greg Lott of Dickinson. Tobin's time is currently fastest 200 meter time in the Metro Region and Centennial Conference while being the fifth-fastest in all of Division III. His 100 meter time leads the Centennial and is second in the Metro Region. He started his day as a member of the 4x100 relay team with senior

Collin Ney, and first-year
Riley Ford who shattered the school and Centennial Conference record with a time of 41.64. They were second overall and top collegiate school in the race while beating the previous record of 41.94 that was set at the 2022 Centennial Championships by Octavious Carter, Tyler Reilly, Zach Crebbin, and Tabor. Their time also currently sits as the 12th-fastest in all of Division III
Tabor also competed in the 100 and 200 meters and earned finishes of ninth and fourth overall behind times of 11.04 and 21.93, respectively. Senior
Payton Stanziani finished second overall and first among collegiate athletes in the 400 meters with his time of 49.34 and Ney placed eighth on a time of 50.16. Senior
Devon Greaves earned seventh place finishes in a pair of hurdle events as he finishes seventh in the 110-hurdles with a time of 16.06 while crossing the line in 56.83 for the 400-hurdles.
Sophomore
Liam Johnston placed second overall and first among collegiate athletes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:29.63 and junior
Zachary Cosme placed eighth with a time of 10:19.48. Junior
David Kenny finished third overall and first among Division III runners in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.52 and classmate
Christian Rosado crossed the line in eighth with his time of 1:58.13.
Junior
Chase Shaneman led the Bears in both throwing events held on Saturday. Shaneman finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 53.56 meters and seventh in the hammer on his mark of 44.77 meters. First-year
Jayden McKeen finished seventh in the javelin with a throw of 52.46 meters while junior
Eric Tanz placed 11th with his mark of 49.49 meters. Sophomore
Deane Leader finished 11th in the hammer with a mark of 39.30 meters and junior
Tom Wood was in 13th overall behind a throw of 38.96 meters. First-year
Jaxon Geddio and sophomore
David Piotrowski tied for 10th in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.79 meters.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 5th as they open up their home Track & Field Festival at 3:30 p.m.
