CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field finished its weekend of competition on the second day of the Paul Donahue Invitational at Widener University on Saturday.
Sophomore
Kaelin Ryan set a pair of career best times in hurdle events on Saturday. Ryan placed eighth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.38 meters before recording a time of 1:06.98 in the 400 meter hurdles that earned her another eighth place finish. Classmate
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman finished 14th in the 100 meter hurdles on her time of 17.48 while clearing the bar at 3.00 meters in the pole vault for a 12th place finish.
Senior
Jacqueline Allen was the lone Bear in the hammer throw and finished 11th with her mark of 41.78 meters.
Junior
Meghan Carroll recorded a career best time in the 800 meters and paced the Bears with her time of 2:18.69.
In jumps, first-year
Aja McBride cleared the bar at 1.47 meters in the high jump while sophomore
Lily Nagy led Ursinus in the long jump with her mark of 4.82 meters.
In sprints, McBride was the lone Bear in the 100 meters and recorded a time of 13.62. Sophomore
Tashyah Sample paced Ursinus in the 200 with her time of 26.60 while classmate
Jaycie Miller was the top Bear in the 400 meters behind a time of 1:03.88.
Ursinus now gets set a busy weekend upcoming in their penultimate weekend before Centennial Championships. Ursinus will be sending athletes to the 128th Penn Relays in Philadelphia starting Thursday, April 25th before starting up at the TCNJ Lions Invitational at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26th.
