COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team wrapped up their first ever home Track & Field Festival on a windy Saturday at Patterson Field.
The Bears saw six athletes take first place on Saturday to cap off a successful weekend at home.
First-year
Jayden McKeen impressed by winning the javelin with a career best throw of 56.18 meters which now sits second in the Centennial Conference, fifth in the metro region, and 19th in all of Division III. He led a top-five filled with Bears and was followed by junior
Chase Shaneman in second with his throw of 53.10 meters. Senior
Eric Tanz was third with a toss of 47.14 meters, junior
Eric Sugarman finished fourth with his season best throw of 47.01 meters, and junior
Anthony Peloro rounded out the five with a mark of 44.43 meters.
Junior
Ken Komatsu took the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.95 meters while three other Bears earned top-10 finishes. Sophomore
Sean Bowers placed fifth with his mark of 3.35 meters while junior
Ethan Chambers and sophomore
Noah Berger finished seventh and eighth on marks of 2.90 meters and 2.75 meters, respectively.
Sophomore
Aiden Tobin won the 200 meters after crossing the line on a time of 21.74. Senior
Daniel Tabor was second with his time of 22.05 and junior
Mason Jolivette rounded out the top five with a personal best time of 22.37. Senior

Collin Ney placed seventh through ninth on times of 22.46, 22.64, and 22.71.
First-year
Devon Bock won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.19. Bock was the lone Bear to compete in the finals after numerous recorded times in the prelims. First-year
Zorion Ferreira paced the prelims with his time of 15.99 and sophomore
Patrick Ryan finished third with a personal best time of 16.39. Bock ran a 17.21 in the prelims and classmate
Dylan Baer was fifth on his time of 17.71.
Senior
Devon Greaves led five Bears in the 400 meter hurdles on his first place finish time of 56.69 that was also a season best. Jolivette was second with his time of 57.51 and Ferreira placed third after crossing the line at 57.59. Ryan finished fifth at a 59.92 while Baer was seventh on his time of 1:01.93.
Senior
Tucker McGrath paced a host of Bears in the 800 meters by winning the race with a time of 1:56.52 following a late charge. He edged sophomore
Liam Johnston who recorded a personal best time of 1:56.59. Junior
Christian Rosado placed fourth on his time of 1:58.37 and classmate
Paul Faggioli placed sixth with his time of 2:01.21. First-year
Troy Hedrick was the fifth Bear in the top 10 after crossing the line at 2:01.78.
Four Bears placed in the top five for the 100 meter prelims, led by Tabor's time of 11.15. Tobin was second overall with his time of 11.20 and Ford placed third on a time of 11.29. Stanziani finished fifth with his time of 11.44 to round the pack out.
Junior
Tom Wood had a strong showing in the hammer throw after tossing a personal best mark of 44.95 to finish runner-up. Sophomore
Deane Leader placed eighth with a throw of 38.29 and classmate
Sean Barrera rounded out the top-10 with a personal best throw of 37.18 meters. Senior
Michael Agbeye finished second in the triple jump behind a mark of 11.61 meters and sophomore
Cole Jackson was third at 11.27 meters.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 12th as they will open competition at the three-day Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
