COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior
Rainah Dunham added a fourth school record to her belt as the Ursinus Women's Track & Field team completed their first ever home Track & Field Festival on a windy Saturday at Patterson Field.
Dunham now holds every Ursinus Women's Track & Field school record in each jumping event she competes in between the indoor and outdoor seasons after winning the triple jump with a mark of 11.87 meters. Dunham edged the previous record of 11.84 meters that was set by Kris Wagner in 1991. It is currently the fifth best triple jump mark in Division III while being the current best in the Metro Region and Centennial Conference.
Senior
Jacqueline Allen also set a school record on Saturday by topping her hammer throw record with a mark of 42.58 meters in the hammer throw and placed third overall. Her throw is now the third best in the Centennial Conference.
Junior
Meghan Carroll earned a runner-up finish in the 800 meters with her time of 2:24.49 while sophomore
Mia Sideris rounded out the top-10 with her time of 2:34.96. Sophomore
Tashyah Sample placed third in 400 meters with a personal best time of 1:00.24 while junior
Sierra Hufnagle finished fifth in the 400 meter hurdles on her time of 1:17.27. Sophomore
Kaelin Ryan led the Bears in the 200 meters with her personal best time of 26.87 and finished sixth overall.
A pair of Bears competed in the heptathlon that was led by first-year Samantha Wechsler in second place with a total of 3,675 points. Sophomore
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman was third after completing the weekend with a total of 2,568
Ursinus returns to action on Friday, April 12th as they will open competition at the three-day Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
