Payton Stanziani had Bears fans seeing déjà vu on the first day of the AARTFC Championships at SUNY Cortland on Wednesday.
The four bested their own school and Centennial Conference record with a time of 3:12.42 and won the race in the process nearly one year to the day they shattered both previous records at the 2023 AARTFC meet at Susquehanna. The time is currently the 8th-fastest in all of NCAA Division III as they put themselves once again in a good spot for a return the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship meet next week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
First-year Zorion Ferreria was the lone Bear competing individually on Wednesday and posted a time of 16.34 in the 110-meter hurdles.
The Bears wrap up competition in the two-day event tomorrow, May 16th starting at 10:00 a.m.
