CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team wrapped up competition in the two-day All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships (AARTFC) at SUNY Cortland on Thursday.
Three Bears competed on the last day in the final meet before NCAA Championships next week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
First-year
Sam Wechsler capped off a breakout rookie season by making the podium in the triple jump with a third place finish behind a career best mark of 11.69 meters. Her jump sits third in the Metro Region which locked up her second All-Region accolade of the outdoor season with the long jump.
Sophomore
Kaelin Ryan competed in the 400 meter hurdles and crossed the line in 14th on a time of 1:14.65. Junior
Meghan Carroll raced in the 800 meters and finished with a time of 2:22.44.
The Bears will await to see the final list of student-athletes that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships next weekend at Myrtle Beach that will be announced on Friday, May 17th at 8:00 p.m. Senior
Rainah Dunham has met the qualifying standard for both the long and triple jump.
