MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Five Ursinus Men's Track & Field Athletes earned Second Team All-American honors on the first day of the 2024 Division III NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Jayden McKeen garnered the honor in the javelin while the four of sophomore
Aiden Tobin, and seniors
Collin Ney,
Daniel Tabor, plus
Payton Stanziani took home 4x400 honors. To be named a USTFCCCA All-American, athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships took home First-Team All-America honors. Those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth through twelfth as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America.
McKeen, in his NCAA Championship debut, placed 16th overall after recording a throw of 57.66 meters on his initial attempt. He wraps up a stellar rookie season that saw him be named the Centennial Conference Outdoor Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Year while earning the silver medal in the javelin at the Centennial Championship meet. McKeen also earned USTFCCCA All-Metro Region honors in the javelin.
The 4x400 squad finished 11th overall in the prelims on a time of 3:13.99 and bested their time from last season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships by nearly two seconds. It was the third straight time competing at the Outdoor Championships for Tabor and Stanziani while Ney along with Tobin were in their second appearances.
McKeen and the 4x400 Relay team are the first Bears on the men's side since Yori Adegunwa in 2001 to earn All-American status at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Adegunwa finished runner-up in the 400 meter hurdles.
Tabor returns to action tomorrow, May 24th as he will compete in the prelims of the 400 meters which starts at 5:15 p.m.
