COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Indoor Track & Field team performed well once again as they hosted the annual Frank Colden Invitational, their final home meet of the indoor season, at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center on Saturday.
Senior
Ethan Chambers finished second in the pentathlon after earning 2,732 points behind wins in the 1000 meters and high jump. Senior
Chase Shaneman finished third overall in the weight throw behind a mark of 15.29 meters and first-year
Noah Sanders was right behind in fourth with his throw of 15.09 meters. Sophomore
Carter Kensil rounded out the top-10 with his throw of 13.15 meters. Senior
Tom Wood led the Bears in the shot put with his third place finish of 15.01 meters and Kensil finished fifth on a throw of 13.74 meters. Junior
Markel Roberts-Jackson added a top-five finish in fourth for the high jump after clearing the bar on a season best jump of 1.70 meters.
Sophomore
Sean Geherty finished third overall in the 800 meters with his personal best time of 2:04.25 and first-year
Conor Flaherty placed sixth on a 2:04.82, also a personal best time. Junior
Justice Scheidel rounded out the 800-meter top-10 on his season best time of 2:06.22.
Junior
Sean Bowers earned a sixth place finish in the pole vault with his top mark of 3.80 meters and sophomore
Nav Manick added a top-10 in the 5000 meters with his personal best time of 16:38.13 to finish seventh overall. First-year
Aidan Furtek placed ninth in the 3000 meters with his time of 9:20.94.
The Bears return to action next weekend in split squad action at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the Widener Indoor Classic starting on Friday, February 14th.
