Nine Men's Track & Field Athletes Earn 10 Combined All-CC Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field saw nine student-athletes take home 10 All-Conference nods for their performances at the Centennial Indoor Championships, announced by the conference on Thursday.

Sophomores Mitchell Davis and Noah Sanders led the Bears on the All-Centennial First team following their gold medals this past weekend. Junior Jaxon Geddio and sophomore Andy Zigbuo plus the 4x200 relay team of senior Aiden Tobin, junior James Long-Stratton, plus first-years Noah Tapler and Aidan Heppard took home second team honors. Tapler and junior Carter Kenseil rounded out the Bears for the Honorable mention team.

Davis won his third straight Centennial Conference gold medal between the indoor and outdoor seasons after clearing the bar at 4.70 meters, staying unbeaten in Centennial Conference meets. His best mark this season was 5.05 meters set back at the Widener Indoor Classic on February 13th that has him tops in the Metro Region and seventh in all of NCAA Division III which primes a return to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

For the fourth straight meet, Sanders bested both his new weight throw school and Centennial Conference record by winning the event on a meet record throw of 18.65 meters. Sanders breakout season now has him with the 19th best weight throw in all of Division III as he seeks to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships as well as he earned his first Indoor All-Centennial nod.

The 4x200 relay returned to medal status after taking the silver medal with a season best time of 1:29.35. Tobin is no stranger to relay medals as he earned his first one since being a member of the gold medalist 4x200 relay team during his 2023 collegiate debut season. Long-Stratton, Tapler, and Heppard all earn their first All-Centennial nods

Geddio and Zigbuo paced the Bears in jumping events at the Centennial Indoor Championships with each earning a silver medal for their respective events. Geddio claimed his second career silver medal in the high jump at Indoor Championships after clearing the bar at 1.88 meters and Zigbuo earned his first silver medal for the long jump at Indoor Championships after his mark of 6.82 meters. Zigbuo earned bronze at last year's Indoor Championships and claimed gold at the Outdoor Championships in May.

Tapler added an honorable mention nod in the 60-meter dash after crossing the line at 6.94 and Kensil earned his first All-Centennial nod behind posting a personal best throw of 14.95 meters in the shot put for a bronze medal.

Junior Logan Downs was named to the All-Sportsmanship team, serving as the Bears representative.
