LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team got its weekend started at the two-day Bucknell University Bison Classic on Saturday.
Competing against teams from all three NCAA Divisions, the Bears had numerous athletes in throwing and jumping events along with some mid-distance events.
Senior
Chase Shaneman recorded a throw of 45.73 in the discus and finished 15th overall and second among Division III athletes. First-year
Noah Sanders recorded a throw of 36.43 meters in the event as well. In shot put, senior
Tom Wood posted a throw of 14.14 meters and sophomore
Carter Kensil finished with a mark of 13.13 meters. First-year
Mitchell Davis finished fourth in the pole vault invite after clearing the bar at 4.71 meters.
On the track, senior
David Kenny led four Bears in the 800 meters with his time of 1:57.92. Senior
Christian Rosado was next at a 1:58.04 and classmate
Paul Faggioli followed with a 1:58.52. Sophomore
Troy Hedrick rounded out the group at 1:59.04. Junior
Liam Johnston competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and recorded a time of 9:32.46.
Ursinus wraps up their weekend tomorrow, April 13th at the Bison Classic which starts back up at 10:30 a.m.
