<strong>SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. </strong>– The Ursinus College men's golf team had its final tune-up before the Centennial Conference Championships, placing 12th at the Conquer the Island tournament on Tuesday afternoon.<br />

Six Bears competed the Shawnee Golf Club, a par-72 course stretching 6,725-yards. Ursinus finished with a team score of 340 (+52), placing 12th out of the 16 teams. Drew University's "A" Team won the team title with an 11-over 299. Stevens Institute of Technology (310) placed second, while Drew's (313) "B" Team and University of Scranton (313) tied for third.<br />

Sophomore
Trevor Maden led the Bears, tying for 27th after carding a nine-over 81. His round was highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole, along with six pars on the back nine. Classmate
Brandon Mongan shot a 14-over 86 to finish in a tie for 51st. He tied for the team lead with eight pars and posted a 43 on both the front and back nine. <br />

Junior
Jimmy Cage tied for 38th, recording a 12-over 84. He recorded par on five of his final seven holes on the front nine and tallied eight pars overall. First-year
Aidan Bonczek shot a 17-over 89 to tie for 60th. His round was included a birdie on the par-5 15th hole and consecutive pars on holes 8 through 10.<br />

Junior
Billy Breslin tied for 65th, finishing with a 91. He carded a 47 on the front nine and an 8-over 44 on the back. Senior
Patrick Esemplare rounded out Bears' lineup, tying for 80th with a score of 100. <br />

Ursinus returns to action on Friday, April 25th, at the Centennial Conference Championships at Waynesboro Country Club.<br />
