PHILADELPHIA – Ursinus Women's Swimmer senior
Katie Barlow was selected to the Philly-SIDA Women's Swimming Academic All-Area Team for the second straight season, announced by the organization on Monday morning.
To be nominated, student-athletes need to have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have completed at least one full year of classes at their current institution. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The accolade adds to an already impressive academic resume for Barlow, who holds a 4.0 GPA as a politics and international relations major. Her efforts in the classroom earned her the 2024 Centennial Conference Women's Swimming Scholar Athlete of the Year accolade after holding the highest GPA among junior/senior student-athletes that earned All-Conference honors. Barlow earned her third straight selection on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Barlow won four medals during her time at Ursinus.
