Roskos, Roe Earn Spots on Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area At-Large Team

PHILADELPHIA – A pair of Ursinus student-athletes were selected to the Philly-SIDA Women's At-Large Academic All-Area Team, announced by the organization on Thursday morning. Sophomore gymnast Erin Roe and junior women's wrestler Kalli Roskos earned spots on the team.

To be nominated, student-athletes need to have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have completed at least one full year of classes at their current institution. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Roe earned a spot in the NCGA Championship Meet for the second straight year and earned All-American honors in three separate events: the All-Around, Vault, and Bars by finishing in the top eight in all three events. She was also the first Bear since Kirstina Steffenhagen at the 2015 Championships to garner multiple All-American honors in a single meet. Roe was named a Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Regular Season All-American on the vault behind having the second highest NQS in the East Region for the event at a 9.730 behind posting at least a 9.7 in seven of the nine events she competed in.

Roskos holds the Bears' highest GPA at 3.95 and went 26-8 this season at 124 pounds. She is now a two-time NCWWC National qualifier, became the first Bear to win a regional championship, and led Ursinus to a third-place finish overall at the meet. Roskos was also named an NWCA Scholar All-American as well for the third time in her career.

Roskos is the first women's wrestler from Ursinus to earn a spot on the At-Large Academic All-Area Team and Roe is the first gymnast since Alyssa DeLorme in 2023.
