COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team wrapped up competition at the 2025 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships by adding two more gold medals on Sunday.
The Bears placed second in the team standings with 171 points.
Senior
Devon Greaves broke through for his first individual gold medal in the 400 meter hurdles as he posted a season best time of 55.12. Greaves had won a silver medal in 2023 and bronze last season in the meet for the event and claimed a bronze in the 110-meter hurdles today with a personal best time of 15.71. Classmate
Tom Wood also achieved his first career collegiate gold medal in the shot put by winning the event with a throw of 15.56 meters. Wood had previously won three silver medals in the shot put between the indoor and outdoor Championships along with one bronze in outdoor.
Junior
Patrick Ryan battled Greaves in the hurdle events and bested him in the 110-hurdles for the silver medal at his time of 15.70 for his first career individual medal. He then finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles on a season best time of 59.15. Sophomore
Dylan Baer rounded out the trio in the 400 hurdles in eighth with a time of 1:01.06. Junior
Aiden Tobin claimed bronze in the 200 meter dash with his time of 21.99 and placed fourth in the 100 meter dash on a season best time of 10.85. First-year
Andy Zigbuo completed a successful outdoor championship debut in fifth for the 100 meters on a personal best time of 11.00.
Sophomore
Jayden McKeen repeated his silver medal in the javelin at 60.71 meters to lead a group of Bears. Senior
Chase Shaneman was fourth at 54.40 meters and sophomore
Riley Ford placed seventh on a personal best throw of 49.81 meters. Senior
Eric Sugarman was ninth at 46.38 meters, sophomore
Liam Janschka was 11th at 44.23 meters, junior
Markel Roberts-Jackson in 12th on a personal best throw of 44.08 meters, and senior
Ethan Chambers placed 13th at 43.60 meters. Sophomore
Carter Kensil finished sixth in the shot put at 13.24 meters and first-year
Noah Sanders finished eighth on a season best throw of 12.66 meters. Shaneman finished 12th at 11.99 meters and senior
Davonte Hinds recorded a throw of 10.37 meters.
Junior
Liam Johnston placed 11th in the 1,500 meters with his time of 4:04.63 and sophomore
Troy Hedrick was 14th on a personal best time of 4:05.78.
The Bears will have a week off before shifting their focus on adding entries to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio from May 22nd to the 24th. Ursinus begins that final push on Monday, May 12th at the Widener Final Qualifier Meet that starts at 1:00 p.m.
