NABC Academic Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four Bears earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, while the men's basketball program received a Team Academic Excellence Award for the eighth consecutive season.

Nick Nocito represented the Bears on the Honors Court.
The Team Academic Excellence Award is reserved for programs with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better. The Bears achieved a 3.34 team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
Allain, Grubbs, and Jakuboski repeated their Honors Court recognition while Nocito earned the nod for the first time in his respective careers. The honor rewards juniors, seniors, and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better at the end of the academic year.
An economics graduate, Allain, an economics major, is a two-time Centennial Academic Honor Roll Selection.
Allain, an economics major, is a two-time Centennial Academic Honor Roll Selection. He appeared in nine games last season for the Bears and 30 for his career. Allain set career highs in points and rebounds per game in 2024-25.
An applied economics graduate, Grubbs also earned his third straight CSC Academic All-District nod after completing a final strong year in the classroom. Grubbs led the team with 6.5 rebounds, shot 61.8 percent from the field, and led the team with 50 blocks in his final season at Ursinus He averaged 3.9 points per game and ranked second in the Centennial Conference with 1.9 blocks per game.
Jakubowski, a computer science graduate, missed the 2024-25 season but was a mainstay in the Bears lineup during his career as he started 47 games while playing in 67. He finished his Ursinus career with 306 total points, 86 rebounds, 31 assists, 34 steals, and four blocks.
A health and exercise physiology major, Nocito commanded the Bears offense as he ranked third on the team with a career best 12 points per game but yarded the Centennial Conference at 5.6 assists per game and 151 total assists. His efforts helped him earn All-Centennial honorable mention. Nocito was 1.4 assists clear of second place in the conference and by 46 total assists. He recorded three double-digit assist contests including a career-high of 11 to open the season and totaled 18 double-digit scoring outings. Nocito registered a career-high 39 points against FDU-Florham back in early December which helped him earn Centennial Conference player of the week honors. Nocito led the Centennial in Assist to turnover ratio at 3.4 and ranked fourth in the league in free throw percentage at 81.4 percent. He also earned his second straight College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District nod as well in addition to Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area honors.

Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.
