LANCASTER, Pa. – Behind a pair of shutouts last week, Ursinus Field Hockey senior goalkeeper
Adriana Palladinetti was named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.
Palladinetti was flawless for the Bears as she posted a pair of shutouts to lead Ursinus to a 2-0 week. She totaled 13 combined saves in the full 120 minutes between the two games. Palladinetti made a pair of saves against DeSales in the Bears 4-0 win on Wednesday night before matching her career-high of 11 saves on Saturday in a 1-0 road win over No. 15 Lynchburg. Palladinetti preserved the Bears' win in a game they were outshot by 15 and avenged a loss to the Hornets from last season.
The Wilmington, Delaware native holds the second lowest GAA in the Centennial at 0.84 GAA and has the second highest save percentage in the league at .857 percent. She is also one of three goalies with two shutouts this season.
This is the second time in her career that Palladinetti has earned a weekly accolade from the Centennial after getting her first in mid-October last season.
