LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Ursinus Women's Cross Country Runner
Mia Sideris was named the Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Player of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday morning.
Sideris recorded a career best 6k time at the highly competitive Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational on Saturday morning, taking 12th place in a field of 100 runners. Sideris crossed the line at 22:14.61 in a field that included three nationally ranked and five regionally ranked programs.
Sideris has been the lead Bears runner in nine straight events dating back to the teams first race of the 2024 season and has set personal best 5K and 6K times this season.
This is the first time in her collegiate career that Sideris has earned a weekly award from the Conference and the first Bears Women's Cross Country runner since Rachel Conhoff in October 2022 to earn a player of the week award.
The Bears return to action on Friday, October 3
rd as they will compete in the annual Lehigh Paul Short Run at 9:30 a.m.
